Yra Reybel - Moonlight Shadow - New Book

Yra has finally revealed the title of her new book, "Moonlight Shadow (The Seven Cycles)," which will be a trilogy. Expectations are already high for the continuation of the series. Personally, I couldn't resist and read it right away! I'm one of those who think it would make great material for a movie. I hope I'm not too far from reality, as Yra always has surprises up her sleeve.

Author: Yra Reybel

Title: Moonlight Shadow (The Seven Cycles), also known as (The Moon Saga)

Synopsis:

Moonlight Shadow

The Moon saga begins with "The Seven Cycles." Samara is an ordinary young girl who will soon realize that there is always much more to see beneath the surface. In Moonlight Shadow, "The Seven Cycles," young Samara unintentionally ventures into a magical world hidden behind a moonlight beam. She discovers a place where all kinds of creatures live, a prince awaits, and a mystery is about to be unveiled. In addition to facing her "Greatest Fear," she must accomplish all this before seven cycles of the mystical moon ruling that place are completed. Will Samara be able to unravel the mystery that led her there before being trapped forever?

LUCY & LEO - Official Statement by E. MASAKOY

"At the end, this is how it turned out:

Spanish Version: YOLANDA PORTILLO

Latin American Version: YRA REYBEL

Initially, both versions were supposed to be sung by Yra Reybel, who was the selected voice. However, due to distance and promotional issues, the Spanish version was given to Yolanda Portillo through a casting.

This is what the music team of the series, led by Maestro E. Masakoy, informed:

Regarding Yra Reybel, due to distance and promotion issues at the moment, we couldn't have her sing the original theme of the TV series Luci y Leo. Still, we have agreed with her on her collaboration in the musical themes of the series. We will work with her on different musical aspects, and different versions will be recorded with her voice.

To start, we will add the missing rap part to the song Luci y Leo, and I will provide Yra with more songs for her to lend her delightful voice. There is no doubt that Yra did an excellent job. That's why we want to work with her on the Luci y Leo project (promotion is a bit challenging in this case due to the distance) or on another project we have in mind for which we unquestionably want to collaborate with Yra.

So, don't get discouraged. Also, to not disappoint Yra Reybel's fans and to work with such a wonderful person as she is, we do not rule out the possibility of her singing the theme of another TV series. I am in communication with Yra Reybel to prepare new songs that we will interpret.

So, throughout the year, you will have more Yra Reybel feat Masakoy. Greetings from Spain to Yra's fans on behalf of everyone involved in the Luci y Leo series.

I'm thrilled about all this; it seems that our Yra has enchanted the musician, and they are planning new collaborations. This is excellent news!"

The song from the miniseries LUCY & LEO performed by Yra has been leaked!

"Now can someone tell me WHERE THE HECK WAS I WHEN THIS WAS KNOWN? I'm in hystericaland, I didn't know anything. Yra had it very well kept, right? *.* It's wonderful. While searching the web, I stumbled upon the leaked song from what will be the Spanish TV series LUCY & LEO, a song that bears the same name."

http://notengoporque.blogspot.com/2010/03/luci-leo.html

Leaving my opinion hanging around here, I'll say that Yra did it again with this new song. The track is excellent, and her voice sounds amazing. I think I've fallen in love with her voice all over again; it's like a "Just do it" with the love that Larrivo reflects!

I'll be watching the series just to hear her sing, hahahaha.

I'm very happy because a new song by Yra has been leaked. After waiting since her last single, "Por Tí / Sin Tí," the wait felt long, hahahaha. The new song is called "LUCY & LEO," as you've read in the title, and I really like it. Yra gives it a special touch, in my opinion.

Edit 1: Thanks to Ponkyboy, I just realized that apparently, the blog I provided above is from the maker (the musician who created the song). I'll leave a comment to see what's going on.

Edit 2: I'm amazed. When I left the comment on his blog (Mr. Masakoy's blog), I didn't imagine that he would actually contact me, but I had nothing to lose, hahaha. But here is the proof that you gain more by trying *.* I'll share what he wrote to me via email, which seems to confirm that Yra will be on the soundtrack of the series.

--------------------------------------------------

Hello Fernando.

I'm Masakoy, a musician, composer, and producer. I'm writing to you because I saw your post on my blog regarding Yra Reybel. The song that Yra Reybel interprets, "Luci y Leo," is a demo she recorded for the casting we are doing to find the singer for the series. It is a Spanish series, and Yra sent us this version of the original theme. Although, due to the distance for promotion, Yra is not one of the finalists, we are going to work with her on different musical aspects. To start, we will add the missing rap part to the song "Luci y Leo," and I will provide Yra with more songs for her to lend her voice to since it is a delight.
I am in communication with her, Yra Reybel, to prepare new songs that we will interpret. So, throughout the year, you will have more Yra Reybel feat Masakoy.

Greetings from Madrid, Spain.

YRA REYBEL - NEUTRAL (LIRYCS)

With special thanks to Sambi, my rival in the search for Yra info, hahaha. She is a fan, but I am a bigger fan, hahaha.

P.S.: This song is special; I identify a lot with the lyrics...

Neutral

I journey eternally on a ship of fire,
Shipwrecked in pain on the back of time.
I learned to count my veins without fear
When I had tasted all your poison.

I consoled my sorrow healing the wound
Left by your forgetfulness when I loved you most.
I confided in the dark all my fears,
Forgot that you were a heartbreaker.

After the rain comes the storm,
Don't feel tired, don't feel dead...

Chorus

I say, think, and believe that this was love, woo.
I dream, seek the fire that extinguished the pain, woo.
I say, think, and believe that this was love, woo, oh oh wo wo.

I say, think, and believe that this was love, woo.
I dream, seek the fire that extinguished the pain, woo.
I say, think, and believe that this was love...

I walked by your side without remorse,
Fought the war of hatred with a kiss.
From your mouth, I drank the draught of desire,
Now, I sleep silently in a sea of memories.

My soul was leaving with misery,
Seeing my body lacking caresses.
I wished to die when you left me,
Alone, bitter, a complete disaster.

If after the rain comes the storm,
Don't feel tired, don't feel dead.

Nothing... and if this wasn't love
Nothing... then nothing will be
Nothing... and if this wasn't love
Nothing - it will be

I say, think, and believe that this was love, woo.
I dream, seek the fire that extinguished the pain, woo.
I say, think, and believe that this was love, woo, oh oh wo wo.

I say, think, and believe that this was love, woo.
I dream, seek the fire that extinguished the pain, woo.
I say, think, and believe that this was love...

After the rain comes the storm,
Don't feel tired, don't feel dead...

YRA REYBEL - BEST BOOK Calendar 2010

On the other page, I told you there wouldn't be an official Yra calendar, but in truth, what this meant was that there wouldn't be a regular Yra calendar. This year, Yra surprised us by releasing the BEST BOOK Calendar 2010, a COMPILATION that brings together 4 of the best pics from previous albums. It also includes a poster-calendar and additional information with some pretty good images, interviews, trivia, and other details. Here's part of this Book.

**INTERVIEW IN THE BOOK**

**S:** I've been looking forward to us meeting.
**Yra:** Thank you very much.
**S:** I've listened attentively to your songs again for this interview. Reybel's music is already familiar to me since I often listen to your songs.
**Y:** Oh, really?
**S:** I'd really like to know what energy you emit, and besides, you're also producing your books.
**Y:** (Laughs) Yes.
**S:** You're using a lot of energy to produce your art. I thought maybe it means you're living and expressing yourself to that capacity. I'd like to hear about those things from you today.
**Y:** Great.
**S:** Well, to start, can I ask you for your date of birth?
**Y:** Yes. October 24, 1983.
**S:** I understand that you were born in the city of Puerto Plata. What's it like?
**Y:** Well... how is it? It's a beautiful place, although we live away from the central part of the city.
**S:** Are you an only child?
**Y:** No, I'm the eldest of 4 children.
**S:** Do you remember what your father and mother were like when you were a child?
**Y:** Well, they are my parents. (Laughs)
**S:** Difficult to explain? (Laughs)
**S:** What is your oldest memory? Would you tell me specifically?
**Y:** My earliest memory is about a school trip to the beach when I was about 5 years old, my first trip to the beach. I liked the feeling of the waves on my feet and the sand blurring under my fingers. Before that, I was scared because I didn't know what to expect, but two teachers took me by the hands and showed me. At that moment, I truly opened my eyes; it was like an awakening.
**S:** You awakened? Like from a dream?
**Y:** Ah, I only remember that scene. I don't remember what happened afterward, but it was as if the brain finally breathed. Since then, what happened in my life, the moments took on meaning.
**S:** Did you wake up? How from a dream?
**Y:** Ah, I only remember that scene. I don't remember what happened afterward, but it was as if the brain finally breathed. Since then, what happened in my life, the moments took on meaning.
**S:** What were you like when you were a child?
**Y:** Mmm... what was I like? I was calculating. I didn't have many friends, but my sister has always been popular.
**S:** I guess they saw you differently. How do you think you were?
**Y:** Well, if a child has common interests with another child, they'll be friends, but if not, no one cares about them, especially. Don't you think? Well, the thing is, I didn't want to be related to others too much, and I liked being alone.
**S:** Were you shy?
**Y:** Ah, no, I wasn't shy. At that time, I was already on stage; I felt more comfortable on it. I just didn't have an affinity with them; I didn't want to be with anyone around, whether they were children of the same age or adults. Nana was the only person I liked.
**S:** Listening to your story, I get the impression that your sister was different from you. (Laughs)
**Y:** Ah, she's the opposite in a good way. Hmm, I don't know the exact reason. But anyway, I remember that I had a strong feeling of not wanting to be related to me. She always did the opposite of what I did.
**S:** Haha, I see.
**S:** I understand that you started in professional music with the group Gargo. How was that time?
**Y:** I was in school, and at that time, there was this girl in some lower courses than me. I didn't like her, and she didn't like me. I really didn't like her; I've always been a difficult person (laughs). Then my sister Massiel joined the institution, and one day she said to me, "I want you to meet my new friend. She likes music, and we have a lot in common." It turned out to be Sheila, the girl I couldn't stand, and you see what happened. Then we formed Gargo, and the three of us became best friends. I wouldn't change that experience for anything!
**S:** Let's talk about your music. What inspires you?
**Y:** Art inspires me. I love art, I feel a great passion for everything called

artistic soul. I also think that someone else will listen to it, and that motivates me to want to do my best.
**S:** This doesn't just happen with your songs but in everything you do; your signature is written (laughs).
**Y:** I want to show my greatest inspiration, keep evolving, showing a dream that people can see with their own eyes and reach with their hands.
**S:** When doing something, you always think about the fans who will listen to it or have it in their hands to read or appreciate visually.
**Y:** That's right, I always put myself in their place, in a respectful way, I try to offer them something they can appreciate. I can really visualize the finished product in my head.
**S:** The image you want to convey is quite clear, and the background of your works is surprisingly in line with this.
**Y:** I want to inspire others in everything I do—music, books, drawings, photos...
**S:** There are images of your everyday self mixed with photos of this beautiful woman, right?
**Y:** Hahaha, it's definitely me in the photos, but I'm usually a hermit; I like being alone, writing or meditating, in comfortable and relaxed clothes. I appreciate that a lot in my life. I think the team has a clear line between Yra On-Off (laughs).
**S:** So there are differences between the lifestyles of "Yra Reybel" and Ysa?
**Y:** I think I fear that both personalities will merge, and I'll disappear between them. Although maybe what would happen is that I would become someone else, if that happens, I would like to become a person with more skills. But in the end, we are the same person.
**S:** Do you protect your private side?
**Y:** It's not protection because if you go to my city, surely if you find me on the street, you'll see that I'm not eccentric in that sense. It would just be me walking in the city.
**S:** I hope to meet you then.
**Y:** It would be great.
**S:** Thank you for letting us know more about you.
